Trump’s Try for Dictatorship Will Fail
“In mid-March, Trump said on social media that the committee members should be jailed. In December he vowed to be a dictator on “day one.” In August, he said he would “have no choice” but to lock up his political opponents.
“If he intends to eliminate our constitutional system and start arresting his political enemies, I guess I would be on that list,” said Rep. Zoe Lofgren. “One thing I did learn on the committee is to pay attention and listen to what Trump says, because he means it.”
So for all you MAGA’s types out there who say they believe in small government, who get all worked up if the federal government passes more laws; etc, now look at what Trump is promising to do.
How does your affliction to small government, so more of the super rich can get richer, jive with dictator on day one? A dictatorship is the essence of government running everything. Do really thing the economy will immediately cater to Trumps laws?
Not likely. A civil war that he supposedly wants will destroy the rich, it always does, witness Japan and Germany and Russia and etc!
Checks and balances, that holds up our Constitution gives Trump all he needs. It doesn’t….He can ask, (note ask) Congress to launch an investigation of the January 6 affair, and if criminality can be found , then turn it over to Justice Department.
Then, the innocent can be established, as the guilty.
Of course Trump won’t do that, because the Congressional Investigation, that went through Constitutional steps toward what really happened, found lots of criminal behavior, from him….and will try to dismiss the charges…
Remember Republicans are run by big money. A civil wars will destroy the economy….
Trump seeks a dictatorship and the god damned Republican Party is going along with him as the puppy dogs they are. But big business will balk.
Look, Trump is not anybody except for his wife (and whores on the sides) friend.
He is a dictator, of business so far, and thinks he can establish one in our country.
MAGA listen for once…Trump hates. Trump planned the January 6th Insurrection. The only thing that saved him from being thrown out of office was due process ( and a Republican majority that beat a 2/3 mandate).
It is virtually impossible to impeach a bad President from office, and that means he/she has plenty of latitude to be the executive (implement the laws of Congress). But ask Nixon, he was reigned in over Vietnam by the Congress cutting off funds.
Trump would have you believe that it would be easy to establish a dictatorship. That means the Congress is superfluous? That means the Congress who lives for power will go home.
I doubt it…
He is so stupid that he things he is ”The commander in chief”. He leaves out that Congress makes the laws and also is the ultimate commander in chief.
That is what checks and balances does.
So the Military will NOT aid Trump in establishing a dictatorship. I was in the military and I know that the armed forces cannot act without Congressional permission.
The Republicans. have one vote in the House and zero Senate majority. And they won’t vote to take away their power…
The only way to stop a dictator is with the barrel of a gun. We don’t to do that, but in most cases of killing dictators it usually comes from the dictator himself and/or his surrounding lackeys.
The success of a dictatorship of a man who will be close to 80? Fat chance….that is Trump’s nickname.
