I saw this Sacramento Bee article on the Sacramento Bee app and thought you’d be interested.

Watch as Sacramento State announces plan for new football and multi-use stadium

https://www.sacbee.com/sports/college/article293100459.html

Finally some sense…Sac State is looking to join the new PAC…Washington State and Oregon State are waiting for the magic number 8 to be a NCAA Conference.

Stanford and Cal made a bad decision by not staying with the PAC…Interesting that Oregon State and Washington State still are playing 10 games…waiting for the PAC to resurrect itself.

I do not care about the damned money…Having athletes sit in airplanes for hours and hours to the East Coast, plus what it does to classes, is simply wrong.

And, sports that don’t bring in revenue, and that means almost all college sports, will ultimately mean losing the sport.

For example, Stanford has already dropped wrestling.

This means, if Stanford and Cal stay in ACC, Soccer, probably basketball, baseball, softball, track etc etc will be gone…

Both of these colleges have long and rich athletic histories, and not just in football.

Now, Sac State leads the charge to get into the PAC…

Sac State’ athletics has grown over the years…No longer is Sac State a little college…it is a major college…and Sacramento has for decades produced Major League Baseball players, football players, and we have Oakland coming while its Nevada stadium is built…(I think they should come to Sacramento.

Sacramento is growing at a rapid pace…It is not in the big leagues (has been for over 50 years)…it is time for the PAC to come to Sac and save college athletics for Pacific Coast!
