Liberated Concentration Camp.

Once more we need to look back, to look back at the Greatest Generation who sacrificed their all for us.

“Like Jim and his buddies, we are being asked to make sacrifices large and small for the good of people whose lives are at risk and, in most cases, will never know what we’ve done on their behalf. None of us signed up for this. But how we respond may well define us for future generations of Americans, and for the world.” Sacramento Bee.

The next time a fascist asshole with a god damned red hat harasses you, or protests with no masks on, with disdain for their fellow citizens, put yourself in this young man’s shoes when he liberated the concentration camps.

You cannot even approximate the service these men and women did for us…the fifteen years of sacrifice, remember the Great Depression from 1929 to 1941 and then. WAR from 1941 to 1945.

My father and mother grew up during that time. My Dad was in the Marines, was medically discharged in 1942. That is probably the only reason I am in existence…most Marines in 1942 did not see 1945.

My father in law, Mel, nearly won the Medal of Honor…he won 2 silver stars, 2 bronze stars, 3 Purple Hearts and other medals too numerous to mention.

And he never talked about it. He was a a converted Christian by the way, his mother was a Jew.

And he and people like him, sacrificed for many years…rationing on the home front, working overtime, switching on a dime from a peacetime economy to the greatest factory of democracy in human history.

And the fools with the red hats are now trying to muscle their fascist asses into opening the economy after about a month and a half of being “closed”…

A month and a half and they quit….try a decade and a half…and many of these guys gave the full measure of devotion…

I am ashamed of you…and this man did not need to live to see Americans turn tail and run.

Shame on you America.
