I don’t know about you but this much heralded as a great movie is not in my book.

Violence for violence sake…

The artistic make up of the planet and the Dunes was interesting. But the gratuitous violence was ridiculous and dangerous.

The thing that really bothered me was when all of the killers had simple daggers as their weapons. Now remember this took place in out space, millions of miles away from earth, if indeed there was an earth in this movie.

But countless people were killed with a knife thrust?

You mean to tell me an advanced scientific army, or was it’s navy….anyway this far out in outer space has to resort to daggers to kill.

I mean really…

When the movie was in theaters I almost paid to go see it…since it got so many accolades. Boy am I glad I missed it and saw it for free at home.

If you haven’t seen it don’t…it is childish, moronic and plain and simple violence for violence sake. And don’t let you children watch it…he may get a steak knife and cut you.

Please Hollywood, with all the violence we have on earth now, please don’t exaggerate and enhance it on the future?!

As usual, Hollywood is just after a buck with no awareness of what damage it can do.

Dune should have been done before it started….
