“Which means that when Army lines up against Notre Dame, the Fighting Irish roster will have been bought and paid for with millions of dollars. The quarterback alone, lured away from Duke this past offseason, cost a cool mil.

So much for moral principle: The team now represents capitalism, not Catholicism. And for what did Notre Dame sell its soul? Moving up a few spots in the national polls?” Newspaper

I played football for Stanford in the PAC 8…This later went to the PAC 12

We were true collegiate; we got a scholarship and worked for our room and board…We were scholar athletes.

Today, about 2% of all the NCAA football players get even a test with the NFL…and from those 2% only 1% play in the NFL for more than 5 years…in short…most NCAA football players never play NFL football.

The new developments in NCAA Football is acting more and more like the Minor Leagues in Football.

The traditions of college football always were fun and grew students in their college educations.

We mostly became Doctors and Professionals, not football players.

And that was just fine….there is much proof that playing sports can educate a person in fair play, in working hard to improve; etc.

Now..thanks to the idiots in NCAA…and to lawyers, NCAA athletes, both men and women, are being treated like workers period….even getting millions of dollars.

This is madness…it is wrong..

I learned how to be a man playing football…how to work hard…how to accept defeat and grow from it…

Those are now gone, in capitalism!

Norte Dame is now a minor league team…just like baseball

I am ashamed of the NCAA…..
