A Second Chance

“Studies have shown higher education is a powerful component in combating recidivism rates. In California, a study from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation found formerly incarcerated individuals are likely to re-offend by 41%.

But for formerly incarcerated individuals who participate in higher education programs like Re-Emerging Scholars, the recidivism rate is smaller, if not non-existent. A report from Project Rebound, a program for formerly incarcerated students attending at California State University campus, had a recidivism rate of 0%, meaning none of their students in 2016 to 2017 reoffended system wide.”

Let’s look at what really stops crime…And let’s look at what really encourages it.

1. If you read the above, men and women of color are arrested at a much higher rate than white people.
2. If incarcerated poor men especially, and don’t have late life education, crime happens at a much higher rate.
3. Trump, a rich spoiled white person, should have been incarcerated many times over, but is white and privileged. So because he is never punished, and will be possibly rewarded by being elected as President, creates a crime ridden society…crime pays if you are rich and white.
4. Trump if incarcerated in later life will attempt to start a civil war. What kind of war against crime is this?

So, the old reliable continues: if your are poor and of color, you will be incarcerated at a much higher rate, and for a lifetime if you don’t get higher education. The old reliable continues, if your are white and a billionaire you will never get incarcerated no matter what.

And then, Republicans wonder why the crime rate remains sky high, especially for rich white people…and the incarceration rate remains sky low, if poor people get higher education!

Finally, Trump and his followers, tend to vote against public education and later life education because THEY WANT POOR BLACK PEOPLE LEFT IN PRISON TO ROT WHILE THE RICH WHITE PERSON NEVER SEES PRISON!

And Republicans keep trying to convince us that they are the law n order party?

They are nothing of the sort: the rich white people only increase crime ten fold….
